You will want to do this in 70-80 degree weather ideally. Stay in the shade unless it is a little on the cool side.
Recommended Items:
- This kit
- Microfiber
- Detailing Spray
- Heat Gun or Hair Dryer
- Drop of soap mixed with cup of water
- Felt Tip Squeegee
We recommend doing this after a fresh car wash. Re-clean the application area to prepare it for installation. Just use a wax free detailing spray if your vehicle is not too dirty. Do not forget to clean the edges of the install areas. Also wash your hands. You do not want to get dirt stuck to the adhesive side of the material. You can use an alcohol wipe on the edges. Note if the wipe is still dirty after use and use more if needed. Allow area to dry.
Prep both sides.
Do a wet install meaning you need to wet the back of the vinyl and the install surface with the soapy water mentioned above. This allows you to slide the vinyl around. Follow the video link above for the most detailed instructions.
NOTE: All vehicles have slight variations with the factory black vinyl. This template was made on one single vehicle so very small variations my exist. This does not affect the overall look.
